While you're enjoying the Llama mobile application (including the desktop version) ("App"), our websites, or using our digital products and services (such as our competitions or surveys) (together, referred to in this Privacy Policy as our "Sites"), we collect some information about you. In addition, you may choose to use the App or Sites to share information with other users, including your friends and contacts ("Users"). We may also need to share your information sometimes.

The App and Sites are operated by "Llama" (also referred to in this policy as "we" or "us") which is the controller of personal information collected and processed through the Llama App and Sites. If you have given Llama access to your location in your device settings, we will collect information about WiFi access points and other location information about your longitude and latitude.

We may collect information about your device when you use the App, including the unique device identifier, device model, and operating system. We may also access your device's address book solely to add someone to your contacts.

Message Content Review

We review the content of messages sent in the App to identify topics, sentiments, and trends across our Users. We take steps to remove personally identifying information from such messages before reviewing them.

Your Llama profile and other information you make available via the App may be viewed and shared by Users with individuals who may or may not be users of the App. Be careful about posting sensitive details about yourself on your profile.

Age Requirements and Child Protection

You must be at least 18 years old to use Llama. We do not knowingly collect any information about or market to children, minors, or anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has registered with us and provided us with personal information, we will take steps to terminate that person's registration.

Data Security

We take appropriate security measures to help protect your information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure. We use reasonable security measures such as secured servers using firewalls. However, no website or Internet transmission is completely secure.

Social Media Integration

When you sign in to our App using your social media account, you give permission to that platform to share certain information with us. This information helps us form your Llama account. If you register or sign in with your Apple ID, you give Apple permission to share your Apple login, a name, and an email (which can be randomized).

You may link your Llama account with other social media accounts. This allows you to share some information from those accounts directly to your Llama account.

Privacy laws applicable in your country may give you the following rights:

  • Right to Rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information

Data Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for the legal basis relied upon and as permitted by applicable law. When your Account is deleted, we ensure it is no longer viewable in the App. For up to 28 days, it is still possible to restore your Account if it was accidentally deleted. After 28 days, we begin the process of deleting your personal information from our systems unless required for legal or regulatory purposes.

Different types of data may be retained for different periods:

  • Account Information: Deleted 28 days after account deletion
  • Payment Records: Retained for up to 7 years for tax and audit purposes
  • Support Communications: Retained for up to 2 years
  • Legal and Safety Records: Retained as required by law
